College and Career Ready IEPs are built upon a student’s strengths and address needs that arise from the student’s disability. There is a clear linkage between the needs, goals, and services: annual goals are developed to address the disability-related needs; special education services are identified and provided so the student can make sufficient progress to achieve the goals; and progress towards the goals is evaluated to identify what works and what is needed to close the student’s achievement gap. This presentation will include an overview of the state’s new Sample IEP Forms, revised to align with Reading Drives Achievement (RDA) and promote college and career readiness. New resources to support educators and families will be highlighted.
