School Choice: Public, Charter & the Rights of Students with Special Needs

Participants will gain an understanding of children's rights to education in all school systems. There will be a comparison of what families can expect when accessing all school types.


Sally Flaschberger has over fifteen years of experience working with children with disabilities and their families in the child welfare and special education systems. She is a lead advocate with Disability RIghts Wisconsin supporting families in Southeastern WIsconsin. She is an experienced trainer in the areas of transition, assistive technology, seclusion and restraint. special education and school choice. Sally is a graduate of the Fututre Milwaukee Leadership Program, Partners in Policymaking, and Parents in Partnership, and a member of the grassroots Save IRIS leadership team. She is also the parent of a young adult with a developmental disability.
