Description:

The most effective groups use processes to guide their work, and a clear process sets the direction toward the group's goals. So many timew we are on committees or in meetings but don't know what is supposed to happen or how to fully participate. This webinar will introduce you to a resource to help navigate decision-making groups and learn about the principles and processes that guide these groups.

Presenter: Jan Serak is the Director of Serak Consulting Services, LLC, where she contracts with nonprofit organizations to provide training and interim nonprofit management.  Prior to her retirement, she was the CEO and founder of WI FACETS, where she co-directed WI’s Parent Training & Information Center and Region 4 Parent TA Center and as the Parent Partner of the WI Special Education Mediation System. Jan currently serves on Board of the National Center for Parent Leadership, Advocacy, and Community Empowerment.  She received her M.A. in Educational Psychology and Dispute Resolution from Marquette University.  She is the parent of two sons, one of whom has autism.
