Discrimination and Harassment Protections for Public School Students
Participants in this workshop will become familiar with the provisions of state and federal law protection students from discrimination and harassment at school. The presenter will review how parents and students can access complaint and appeal processes in order to assert their right to attend school free from discrimination.
Paul Sherman has been the DPI's pupil nondiscrimination program consultant since 2007. He holds undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Prior to joining DPI, Paul taught high school social studies and practiced public benefits law.
