WIOA - Providing Pre-Employment Transition Services to Help Students become College and Career Ready. This presentation will provide an overview of key components of WIOA and the ways schools and vocational rehabilitation can coordinate services for students. Ideas for engaging students in transition activities from middle school through age 21 will be shared.


Nancy Farnon-Molfenter has been working in the field of special education and disability services for more than 25 years and strives to support inclusive outcomes for all people. She earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from Northeastern University and a Ph.D. from the University of WI Madison in Special Education and Rehabilitation Psychology. Nancy has been employed as a special educator, transition coordinator, and administrator for both employment and home support agencies. She also worked as a project consultant for the WI BPDD with the Let’s Get to Work and Employment First state-wide projects. Nancy now serves as an Educational Consultant and Transition Improvement Grant Director at the Department of Public Instruction. In addition, Nancy teaches courses in the UW system.
