Description: This training will give an overview of therapeutic techniques used in treating children with anxiety, depression, and OCD. After completing this workshop, caregivers will be able to identify symptoms of mental illness and understand how support a child who is struggling.

Learning objectives:

      • Be able to identify symptoms of anxiety and depression in children.
      • 2 Understand how to support a child struggling with mental health in the home.

Presenter: Alyssa Meixelsperger is a family therapist at Rogers Behavioral Health in Skokie, IL. She obtained her Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and is a licensed social worker and certified alcohol and drug counselor. Alyssa has experience treating anxiety, OCD and other mental disorders in a wide range of settings using a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure response prevention.
