“Learn the Signs. Act Early!” Toolkit

During this workshop, participants will review resources and materials available in the "Learn the Signs. Act Early." toolkit. Participants will be asked to develop an implementation action plan to integrate resources in their respective programs.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the session:

  • Participants will identify the materials and resources available in the "Learn the Signs. Act Early." toolkit
  • Participants will begin to develop an action plan to implement resources found in the "Learn the Signs. Act Early." toolkit.
  • Participants will understand the benefits of implementing developmental monitoring and screening to enhance early identification.

Kris Pizur-Barnekow is the CDC's Act Early Ambassador to Wisconsin. She is a clinically trained occupational therapist who served children and families during early childhood and is endorsed as an infant family specialist through the Wi-Alliance for Infant Mental Health.
