While your knowledge, skill, and confidence will naturally increase, there are some specific communication skills that can help you be most successful in developing and maintaining a strong partnership with your child’s school. We hope these “Steps to Success” will be particularly helpful to parents who are new to the special education process.
Pasos al Éxito para Comunicarse de Manera Efectiva con la Escuela de su Hijo - Ya que su conocimiento, destreza y confianza incrementarán naturalmente, existen algunas destrezas de comunicación específicas que pueden ayudarle a ser más exitoso en el desarrollo y mantenimiento de una fuerte sociedad con la escuela de su hijo.

Samson Srok is the Bilingual Outreach Coordinator for the Wisconsin Family Assistance Center for Education, Training, and Support, Inc. He recently completed his Bachelors’ Degree in Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is excited to be back home in Milwaukee. Samson is passionate about community development. He also works at the the Fondy Food Center, which aims to increase access to local, healthy food in Milwaukee. When not working, Samson takes care of a very sweet and nervous Rat Terrier named Elliott.
