Based on the concepts from the Compassion Resilience Toolkits, we will explore the keys to preventing compassion fatigue in ourselves, our teams and our families. Experiences of implementing these strategies in multiple sectors, including with parents/caregivers, will be shared. The toolkits are free and their use is supported throughout Wisconsin.

Presenter: Sue McKenzie has led the development of educational programs and collaborative projects in the mental health field at a local, state and national level. As the Vice President of Healthy Culture for Rogers Behavioral Health, she provides leadership to internal culture efforts and facilitates WISE (Wisconsin’s Initiative for Stigma Elimination). Sue works through partnerships to reduce the stigma

associated with mental health challenges and increase effective supports. Innovative program design, collaborative leadership skills, and a tenacious passion to share the reality and hope of recovery are key assets she brings to Rogers and WISE.
