Families are key collaborators in equitable multi-level systems of support. Schools and districts use the “three Es” to Embrace, Engage, and Empower families to improve their child’s learning by recognizing families as the first teachers and foremost experts on their child; intentionally and authentically seeking two-way communication to partner with families; and empowering families as active partners in their child’s learning.

Learning Objectives:

Understand how Family Engagement enhances how districts and schools implement Wisconsin’s Framework for Equitable Multi-Level System of Supports.

Recognize that Family Engagement within an Equitable Multi Level System of Support shows up in each Tier of support, which includes students served through Title 1 and Students with IEPs.
