Family Engagement within an Equitable Multi-Level System of Supports

Wednesday, May 29, 2019 -
12:00pm to 1:00pm

Research on family engagement has shown that families, students, staff and administrators all benefit from effective and authentic family engagement to support their equitable, multi-level system of supports. Participants will leave with ideas that they can use in their own buildings to reach out to all families with the intent of increasing family engagement using the Wisconsin RtI Framework.

At the WI RtI Center, Dan Seaman trains, assists, and provides support to Schools, Districts, and CESAs 6, 7, & 8 specifically around academic implementation of an Equitable Multi-Level System of Support and is on the Family Engagement workgroup. Dan attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in School Psychology and finally earning an Educational Specialist’s Degree in School Psychology. Dan is a DPI licensed School Psychologist and Pupil Services Director in addition to being a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Prior to working at the RtI Center, Dan was a School Psychologist for 10 years in Eastern Wisconsin.
