This presentation will cover who are the students at risk of not graduating from high school, why serving at risk students is so important and prevention strategies along with alternative education options that will lead to a high school diploma.

Presenter:

Sherry Holly strives for all students reach their true potential through earning their high school equivalency diploma. Ms. Holly is currently the GED/HSED, Alternative Education Administrator at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. She has been a cross categorical special education teacher at Verona Area High School and Toki Akira Middle School in the Madison Metropolitan School District. Sherry served as the associate principal at McFarland High School and was the Program Manager of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program in Chicago.Sherry completed her PhD coursework at the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she was part of a cohort to close the achievement gap. She holds her Masters of Science in Education Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin Madison and her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
