Basic information about the rules and regulations related to the creation of the Individualized Education Program (IEP). In Part 1 of this workshop, participants will learn:

• All the components of the IEP

• Who are the members of the IEP team and their functions?

• How the team works together to individualize student services and education

• Determination of current levels of academic and functional performance

• How to write IEP goals to ensure a quality education.

“PROGRAMA DE EDUCACIÓN INDIVIDUALIZADO (IEP) PARTE - 1”: Información básica sobre las reglas y regulaciones relacionadas con la creación del Programa de Educación Individualizado (IEP). En la Parte 1 de este taller, los participantes aprenderán:

  • Todos los componentes del IEP
  • ¿Quiénes son los miembros del equipo del IEP y sus funciones?
  • Cómo el equipo trabaja en conjunto para individualizar los servicios y la educación del estudiante
  • La determinación de los niveles actuales de desempeño académico y funcional
  • Cómo escribir las metas del IEP para garantizar una educación de calidad.

Presenter: Samson Srok is the Bilingual Outreach Coordinator for the Wisconsin Family Assistance Center for Education, Training, and Support, Inc. He recently completed his Bachelors Degree in Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is excited to be back home in Milwaukee. Samson is passionate about community development. He also works at the the Fondy Food Center, which aims to increase access to local, healthy food in Milwaukee. When not working, Samson takes care of a very sweet and nervous Rat Terrier named Elliott.
