Shannon will share activities that foster mindfulness, particularly for students with disabilities. Participants will learn to link the principles of mindfulness with self-regulation and map mindfulness strategies onto a classroom PBIS matrix.

Shannon Stuart coordinates the special education graduate program at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Shannon's research interests include mental health supports for students. She is also a certified yoga teacher and she finds that mindfulness activities in school can help students make smart choices even when they feel emotionally triggered.
