School Choice: Public, Charter & Rights of Students w/Special Needs

The presentation will detail the different rights of students with disabilities in all types of school across Wisconsin. It will include updated information about the special needs voucher and changes coming next year to this program.


Sally Flaschberger has 15 years of experience working with children with disabilities and their families in the child welfare and special education systems. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Marquette University. Sally works on public policy issues related to education as a registered lobbyist for Disability Rights Wisconsin. She is an experienced trainer in the areas of transition, assistive technology, seclusion and restraint, special education and school choice. Sally is a graduate of Future Milwaukee Leadership program, Partners in Policymaking, and Parents in Partnership and a member of the grassroots Save Iris leadership team. She is also the parent of a young man with a developmental disability.
