The WI CYSHCN program supports families and the providers who support them. Through a network of agencies, the CYSHCN program is a free, voluntary resource for families seeking answers and direction in any aspect of their child's life. We help with medical concerns, community supports, transitions, parent support, transportation, and the list goes on. We are just a phone call away.
- Identify the children and youth who can benefit from CYSHCN services.
- Explain how to refer a family to a CYSHCN Regional Center.
- Recognize when you as a professional may want to contact a CYSHCN Regional Center.
Becky Burns’ career centers on supporting children and families whose lives have been affected by unanticipated journeys through the world of disability services. She treasures the opportunities to work with these families whose resilience and growth continues to astound her. With a Master’s of Science in Social Work, she has used her education along with her personal experience of being raised in a family with a child who has a disability to influence her work with families. She has worked in one capacity or another for the state of WI for over 20 years.
