Event Details

The youth justice system and the court process will be reviewed, along with recommendations for advocacy. There will also be an opportunity for Q + A. Participants will gain a better understanding of the youth justice system and court process; and will know how to advocate within these spaces.

Presenter: John Bauman is the Juvenile Court Administrator for Dane County and has been in that position for 15 years. John has 38 years of experience in the local juvenile justice system, including 21 years in non-profit agencies. He oversees a County department which includes a custody intake unit, Juvenile Detention, Shelter Home, Home Detention program and works as a liaison with the Juvenile Division Judges. John is active on many committees, was previously on his school board, was a mentor in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and also a foster parent.
