Event Details

This workshop will provide participants with a better understanding of Wisconsin requirements for paraprofessionals and will review various resources for families and educators.

Learning Objectives:

  • Become familiar with Wisconsin licensing requirements for paraprofessionals.
  • Understanding of the various roles and responsibilities of paraprofessionals.
  • Overview of resources relating to paraprofessionals, for families and school districts.

Presenters: Iris Jacobson and Eva Kubinski are education consultants at the Department of Public Instruction. Iris Jacobson provides guidance to Wisconsin educators and families related to paraprofessionals. In addition, Iris’ experience around the work of paraprofessionals includes being a paraprofessional and working with paraprofessionals in the classroom and at the district level. Eva Kubinski has also worked as a paraprofessional as well as a school psychologist and a technical assistance provider for the United States Department of Education.
