Description: Learn how (and why) it’s important to extend the advocacy you do every day for your own child – to benefit all community children. We’ll talk about why families belong at the decision-making table, how families have influenced programs in the past, where to find skill-building opportunities, and how to identify leadership roles that are the right fit… with some inspiration peppered throughout. Family perspectives are important, especially to the programs and services you care about – join us to find out how easily you can get started!

Learning objectives:

  1. Identify the value family perspective brings to decisionmakers
  2. How and where to find opportunities for leadership with community and state groups
  3. What to keep in mind as you look for that right-fit role or position
